Messages from our directors
"When I look back at 2023, I am proud to be part of MCF. Despite a tough and unpredictable year, the foundation was able to kickstart construction and renovations at the Oasis Wellness Center in Westview, Kadoma Zimbabwe. Last year, the MCF managed to partner with the RedRev Youth Empowerment Fund in various programs concientising the youth against drug and alcohol abuse as well as assisting senior citizens and war veterans suffering from PTSD, Orthopedic and podiatric ailments in Zimbabwe. To our donors, thank you for enabling our work through your generosity. You fuel our mission and we are here because of your commitment to those we serve. With gratitude and best wishes"
" Our strategic plan for 2024 to 2030 will focus on intensifying focus on our 3 main areas which are, Youth Mental Health, Elderly care and community assistance. As the MCF, we will also be implementing our expansion plan. This plan is centered around the setting up and construction of Oasis Wellness Center in the 10 provincial capitals of Zimbabwe. Im very grateful to each and every one of you. Its an honor to be your teammate. As you scroll through this website, i hope you take pride in seeing all we were able to accomplish together in the midst of a difficult operational and fundraising environment."
MCF was founded by two sisters in memory of their late parents Felix and Maria Chikara who were health care pillars of the community they served. Both parents made long lasting impact issues around health and well being.
The two daughters relocated to the UK and both followed in the giant footsteps of their mother and became nurses in mental health and general nursing. They are now on a mission to provide quality healthcare for the benefit of local vulnerable communities in Zimbabwe and the SADC.
